Open Health Access Foundation began with a simple but urgent realization. Two school professionals, working closely with students and families each day, saw a pattern that was impossible to ignore.

Children were falling through the cracks, not because help didn’t exist, but because access was out of reach. Families who were uninsured or underinsured often had nowhere to turn, leaving students with unmet health needs.

These weren’t small issues. When a child is in pain, struggling with their mental health, or unable to receive basic care, it directly impacts their ability to learn, grow, and thrive in school.

We knew something had to change.

Open Health Access Foundation was created to help remove those barriers—connecting children and families to the care they need, when they need it. Because every child deserves the opportunity to be healthy, supported, and ready to learn.
